Attached is a photo of my first bonsai. I think it may be a shore juniper, but no idea. I got it gifted when developed and had no idea about bonsai, so I believe over the past 12 months I have attempted a refinement stage not very successfully. After gaining information from you, I would like to significantly thicken the trunk and the 1st branches and will take on board all your development advice.
I repotted and root trimmed in Aug this year. I'm wondering if it's too soon to repot it into a larger black plastic container and leave it to grow. No more trimming! Or am I too late in terms of cutting off what I shouldn't have and I should cut my losses and try another?
